With the complex technology of modern vehicles, an advanced filtering system is the ideal “instrument” for every company that wants to guarantee a service of reliability and excellent performance on a worldwide level. 

The filtering systems manufactured by UFI FILTERS are installed in the new A1, the AUDI model that will be launched onto the market in September. The UFI range, that can be adapted to the new generation of vehicles, is growing, as well as the range of AUDI  automobiles that relies on UFI FILTERS systems.

UFI manufactures a complete air and fuel (petrol) filter for the 1.2 TFSI (86 HP) and for the 1.4 TFSI (122 HP) engines, and the complete air and diesel fuel module for the 1.6 TDI CR (90 HP and 105 HP) on the new A1.

The air filter is characterized by high filtering efficiency, which prevents even the smallest particles, thanks to the presence of a pre-filter on the cartridge, allowing a longest replacement interval.

The cartridge is a green cartridge, since it does not contain any metal elements. The medium is flame retardant, so the speed of propagation of the flame is very low.

The filter is available in the Aftermarket range, respectively as 27.621.00 for the UFI brand and S 7621 A for the SOFIMA brand, VAG original code: 6R0129620A.

The AUDI’s engineers have chosen for the petrol filter the UFI filtering system, with a high efficiency and filtering capacity, that guarantees a long life span.

The fuel filter is available in the Aftermarket range with the UFI FILTERS code 31.840.00, and SOFIMA code S 1840 B, OES VAG 1K0201051C.

The same vehicle is equipped with an extremely compact and robust diesel filter, which uses a folded technological paper cartridge on which a synthetic fiber layer is applied.

This has led to obtaining a filter that associates a very high filtering capacity, 94% with regards to 3-5 microns of diameter for pollutant particles, with an average life of 60,000 km, before having to be replaced.

The filter is identified in first equipment by both brands, UFI and VW, as well as by the respective code numbers: UFI 24.437.00 and VW 6Q0 127 401 F.

Equipped in OE at 100% on the 1.6 TDI model and already available in the Aftermarket with the above indicated UFI code and SOFIMA code: S 4437 NR.

Five different engines are available, all of which are Euro 5 compliant. There are three petrol engines: the 120 HP 1.4 TB, the 170 HP 1.4 TB MultiAir and the high performance direct-injection 1750 TBi, producing 235 HP of power. The two diesel engines are the 105 HP 1.6 JTDm and the 2.0 JTDm Multijet, generating 170 HP.

UFI FILTERS Group, producer of leading edge technology filter systems, is supplying all this for the Giulietta: the oil and fuel filter for the diesel vehicles, the oil filter for the top performance engine, the 235 HP 1750 TBi, as well as the air filter for the two petrol engines and the 2.0 JTDm Multijet (170 HP). This is original equipment, as both a
complete module and replacement parts (OES).

The diesel filter is a compact long-life third generation filter made from 100% synthetic fibres. With its high filtration efficiency, it can stop particles as small as 3-5 microns in diameter and separate off up to 99% of water residues.

This filter has aftermarket identification codes UFI 24.ONE.01 and SOFIMA S 1ONE NR and is already in production, including for other applications for the Alfa Romeo group.

The oil filter for the diesel engines is ecological and immersion type with a cellulose fibre-based filter medium, which is efficient enough only to need replacing every 30,000 km.

By the and of the year, the spare part will also be available for the aftermarket; its identification codes will be 5.083.00 for UFI and S 5083 PE for SOFIMA.

The oil filter for the 1750 TBi is also environmentally friendly. The aftermarket codes for the spare part are 25.061.00 for UFI and S 5061 PE for SOFIMA, which is already available, including for other Alfa Romeo vehicles.

UFI FILTERS is also providing the air filter as original equipment for the two petrol engines, the 120 and 170 HP 1.4 TB and the 170 HP 2.0 JTDm Multijet. The spare part will also be available for the aftermarket by the end of the year, with
codes 27.629.00 for UFI and S 7629 A for SOFIMA. All UFI Filters Group’s filters are 100% compliant with the requirements and limits specified under the Euro 5 emissions standard.
